Series 1: 100 Cards from the Oldest Bitcoin Still in Circulation

This series celebrates the origins of Bitcoin through 100 cards, each containing a satoshi from one of the oldest bitcoin still in circulation.

Block 9, at the Origins of Bitcoin

Each Proof of Sats Series 1 card contains a satoshi from the first bitcoin of the Block 9 mining reward, mined by Satoshi Nakamoto on January 9, 2009, just a few days after the launch of the Bitcoin network.

Block 9 holds a special place in Bitcoin history: its mining reward was the first known block reward to later be spent.

While the rewards from the very first blocks remained untouched, part of the bitcoin mined in Block 9 eventually entered circulation.

Among the Oldest Satoshis Still in Circulation

The satoshis created in Block 9 are numbered between:

45,000,000,000 and 45,099,999,999.

For Series 1, Proof of Sats went even further: all 100 selected satoshis come from the first bitcoin of that block reward.

They are numbered from:

45,020,012,434 to 45,020,012,533.

The 100 cards in Series 1 therefore contain 100 consecutive satoshis from the oldest bitcoin still in circulation.

Before Series 1, Series Genesis brought together 21 cards, numbered from #0000 to #0020. This founding series was created before Series 1 and is not currently intended for sale.

Later in 2026, Series 2 (numbered from #0122 to #0222) will continue this exploration with a new edition of 100 cards, also associated with satoshis from the same historic provenance.

100 Fragments of the Same Story

Series 1 therefore forms a collection of 100 consecutive satoshis from a bitcoin mined by Satoshi Nakamoto in January 2009.

By acquiring a Series 1 card, a collector does not simply receive a fragment of Bitcoin history.

They actually hold one of the oldest satoshis still in circulation.
